Cacao is a heart-opening medicine that connects you to yourself, others, and the world around you. It is supportive and amplifying. In the context of ceremony, cacao is a sacred bridge that allows us to go deeper into our senses by increasing our sensation of vibration.
Cacao is a heart-centered, intentional medicine that is ideal for opening one’s senses to deeper levels of receptivity. Cacao enhances one’s conscious sensations and acts as an amplifier to help deeply connect within body, mind, and spirit. Cacao is a powerful ally that aligns, attunes, and awakens subtle energies within us. Cacao is powerful to combine with other plants and healing modalities because of its amplifying effects. For example, the modalities of sound healing and breathwork are boosted by the effects of cacao. Combining various modalities as part of a ceremony/ritual with sacred medicine (Cacao) creates a context for us to create a more cohesive experience, while maximizing each potential therapeutic benefit.
The cacao that we use for our ceremonies is ceremonial cacao, a high quality that has a bold aroma. Most of the time it is in its raw form but sometimes special preparation processes create fermentation. Cacao was revered in ancient times and was considered to be food of the gods, reserved for the elite, ruling class. In modern times, chocolate is a treat loved internationally!

Most of the chocolate available to us is highly processed using alkalized cacao beans and processed sugars. Unfortunately in its processed form, cacao looses nearly all of its potential health benefits!

Luckily, healthy chocolate does exist since cacao itself is a super-food! In our cacao ceremony, we drink cacao in its raw, most potent form. The simple preparation of our ceremonial cacao preserves the integrity of the beans and also maximizes its nutritional value. Cacao nourishes the body and encourages connection with the mind, heart and spirit. Through the spiritual ceremony, we contextualize our experience with the sacred cacao as we connect to the divine and open all of our senses. We often introduce other modalities in our session and cacao allows for deeper sensations of vibration! This makes the potential with cacao exceedingly high.
